Application:20Cr steel plate/sheet is mainly used for high strength core part manufacturing requirements, the surface to withstand wear and tear, the section in the shape of 30mm or less complex and less load carburizing parts (oil quenching).

20Cr has high strength and hardenability comparing to 15Cr steel, in water the critical full hardening diameters are 4-22mm , in oil the critical full hardening diameters are 11-40mm. But its toughness is poorer.This steel in carburization still has grain growth tendency. Quenching cooling directly has big  influence to impact toughness. So after carburizing, 20CR steel need 2 times quenching to improve heart toughness of parts, no temper brittleness. The coldstraining plasticity of 20Cr steel is high, can be done wiredrawing in cold state. The machinability in high temperature normalizing or quenching and tempering condition is good, but after annealing it will be poor. 20 Cr steel is pearlite, the weldability  is good, commonly no need to do heat treatment after welding. However, for the parts whose thickness is more than 15 mm, it should do the preheating to 100 ~ 150 ℃ before welding, also after welding it is no need to do heat treatment. 
20CrAlloy Structural Steel Delivery state
20Cr Steel Material should be delivered at hot-rolled or hot wrought conditions. Once the demander requires(and stipulates in the contract),hot processing condition(annealing, normalizing or high-temperature backfire) can also be adopted.

20Cr steel plate/sheet is mainly used for high strength core part manufacturing requirements, the surface to withstand wear and tear, the section in the shape of 30mm or less complex and less load carburizing parts (oil quenching), such as: machine transmission gears, gear shafts, cams worm, piston pins, claw clutch; to heat distortion and high wear resistance parts, should be carried out after carburizing high-frequency surface hardening, such as modulus of less than gears, shafts, splined shaft 3 and so on. This steel is also available in the quenched state used to work for a large manufacturing speed and withstand moderate impact load parts, this steel is also used as a low-carbon martensitic hardening steel, to further increase the yield strength of steel and tensile strength (an increase of about 1.5 to 1.7 times).
